This training kit when used with your policy can be used for group or self-paced training to meet DOT supervisor training compliance requirements.

What makes this training kit special is Bill Judge a nationally recognized expert. Bill goes beyond the required DOT supervisor training requirements to motivate supervisors that they need to perform reasonable suspicion determinations to protect themselves, co-workers, and the public.

For every supervisor Reasonable Suspicion is the most difficult part of a substance abuse program. In response to this resistance Bill Judge explains why reasonable suspicion is a critical part of keeping a workplace safe for both employees and the public. Using compelling current statistics he demonstrates the danger of drug abuse and alcohol misuse in the workplace.

Using an easy to understand metaphor of a football field he explains all a supervisor needs to do make a reasonable suspicion determination is get out of the end zone. He challenges common supervisor reasons for not doing reasonable suspicion such as "He is my friend", 'I don't want to get involved', or "Let someone else do it."

Using real stories Bill motivates supervisors to think about the consequences to co-workers and families when supervisors choose to take no action when a situation calls for it.

Many workers and supervisors feel that what someone does on their own time is their own business. Brain scans of recreational drug users graphically show the damage done by dug and alcohol abuse.

Using actual situations Bill demonstrates to the supervisor that the reasonable suspicion process is something they are already doing when they determine if someone is fit to perform.

After segments on how to do constructive confrontation, how to successfully meet employee objections that supervisor has an opportunity to practice what they have learned with five practice video scenarios.

Who is required to receive DOT mandated supervisor drug and alcohol compliance training?
